The Need for EtherAlert
Reports are on the increase of ether-based narcotic sprays (commonly called ‘sleeping gas’) being used in robberies. This is a real threat to those who enjoy spending the night in their motorhome, caravan or boat. When released into a confined space, these sprays put sleeping occupants into a heavily sedated state. Robberies are then easy to carry out and occupants wake several hours later with no knowledge of the robbery.
The EtherAlert sensor will also reliably detect LPG (butane and propane) to give an early warning of a build up of these explosive gases.
Effective
The EA1000 has been designed as an effective deterrent for gas attacks. A sensor mounted close to the sleeping area detects ether-based gases at very low levels before they can take effect. This triggers an ear-piercing siren to deter intruders, wake the occupants and warn others close by. An optional high-visibility lamp can also be connected to flash when the alarm goes off.
A separate Panic Switch is also supplied with the unit. This can be used to manually sound the siren and send any prowlers or unwelcome visitors running.
Discreet and Unobtrusive
The sensor is small, neat and stylish. The main electronic control box is powered from the 12V supply of the vehicle and can be installed anywhere convenient (including in a cupboard). The extremely loud alarm siren is housed separately giving further flexibility to the installation.
Simple to Use
For security, a key switch on the control unit is used to activate the unit. Lamps on the control unit indicate system power, sensor health and alarm conditions. A push button is provided to test the system. The EA1000 is factory calibrated and requires no replaceable parts or user adjustment.
Low Power
The latest technology sensors combine high performance with very low power consumption.
