Gas Alarm Wins Smart Award
Receiving award from Adam Hart-Davis
Poole-based gas detection specialist Nereus Alarms Ltd has won a Government Smart Award for the development of their innovative gas detection system for boats.
At a recent awards ceremony held at the British Library, the managing director of Nereus Alarms Ltd was presented with a glass trophy by the scientist and television presenter Adam Hart-Davis. Nereus Alarms commented, “we were delighted to receive the award and believe it highlights the importance of developing modern and reliable safety products. Boating has a number of very real dangers and a gas alarm should be considered as essential for any craft carrying a butane or propane cylinder”.
Drawing on over 10 years experience, the combined LPG and carbon monoxide gas alarm offers a number of benefits to the user and sets new standards for reliability. The system has been specifically designed to operate in the harsh marine environment and offers a waterproof bilge sensor, attractive cabin sensor, slim-line control panel, low-power operation and a ‘no-power’ electronic gas valve.
